3 Hangouts Comming to Bhawk…
So we’ll all agree, especially us yuppies that there are really ZERO places to hang out in Blackhawk/Danville. Granted there’s a few like Chows, Pride of the mediterranean for hookah, Easy925 and a few more… But Lord knows we need more. So here it is, Verve is releasing 3 restaurants in Blackhawk Plaza nearly simultaneously…
Stomp- which is a “wine, small plates lounge”. Apparently it was supposed to already be open, so I’m guessing that its coming soon?
Cao- which is gonna replace Alberto’s cantina with another Mexican kitchen, hopefully with better food…. Set to open mid August? I don’t know if they’ll make it…
Doesn’t that seem to be a fact. I feel like any home i see with ivy climbing up the side of it i fall in love almost immediately… Maybe we associate it with something of a quaint or fantastical nature. I’m sure Snow White’s cottage with all the dwarfs was appropriately covered in the stuff. It just gives a home character. It gives the home a sense of permanence, as if its rooted to the earth. Or maybe it’s because I love older things. Older homes were simply built better, with more craft and character, perhaps ivy makes a home appear to have this character as developed by age.

Yet there are those that viciously attack my stance. Yes, it may be true that an ivy covered home may be prone to a few more friendly mice and spiders. I say pay a little extra for an inspect spray service and keep a coupe of traps around and you’ll be fine… I’ll take a home with character any day over a new home, but that’s just me….
